The operation, which only lasted a few minutes according to local media, found Sisiku Ayuk Tabe and eight members of his government. The latter are the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the Cameroonian government at the end of last year.

The Interim Government of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia in a statement sent to the CameroonWeb editorial office a few hours after the operation strongly condemns the “unlawful kidnapping” of Sisiku Julius Ayuk Tabe and eight other officials by armed men of the Republic of Cameroon. For the Ambazonian government, this kidnapping is criminal and illegal.
